About the Lodge
The St. Peters Lodge was consecrated in 1940, and although over 70 years may seem old, this isn’t extraordinary - there are Masonic Lodges in the Constitution that are over 250 years old.
Every time a Lodge is formed, and regardless of geography, it is granted a number by the United Grand Lodge of England, and recorded in the Register of the Grand Lodge. St. Peters is Lodge number 5827. For your information, the Grand Lodge is close to issuing Lodge number 10,000 to a newly consecrated Lodge somewhere.
We are named after the centrepiece of our city, St Peters Church in Chester. Our Lodge meets in the Masonic Hall at Queen Street, and we meet on the first Friday of the month for only eight months of the year, September to April.
We are a very friendly Lodge, with a real mix of professions; Electricians, Business Owners, Consultants, Firemen, Technicians and Pensioners.
